We stopped here out of chance, the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. So we stopped in because I had read about the village. The store was really nice. We enjoyed the old time candy, especially the candy cigarettes we played with as...More

I went and read the terrible reviews because I cannot imagine what they didn't like about this place. Yes, it is old and could probably use a good scrubbing. Nothing to make you lose an appetite. If you have northern taste buds, you may want...More

If you have time while you are visiting Jackson, the Casey Jones Museum and Home is worth a visit. There are many exhibits that tell the story of his heroic effort to save passengers and crew (yes, Casey Jones was a real person). Casey was...More

I've never heard of Casey Jones and learned so much. You definitely feel like you're going back in time. Great for all ages.

I had some vivid memories of watching the TV series as a child not knowing that this was a real person as well. This is clearly not a well visited place as I guess that not many people would be interested now. I have to...More

Arriving late to our hotel we asked for 2 recommendations for restaurants that offered salad and soup. The "Old Country Store" Buffet was one of those two. The store/restaurant part has the look of the mid-1800s. We were able to purchase just a soup and...More

When we visited the museum had a small entrance fee but I cannot verify what they are today. This is a very nice attraction in a small rural city - please enjoy.
