We went here on a spur of the moment trip. We only had two hours to explore so it was rough with the lack of directions and trail signs. We did get to see the cave and bluffs and the suspended bridge plus a waterfall after much searching and driving. But overall it is a gorgeous park even in the... More

We visited the park and enjoyed the lovely swinging bridge and trails. It was a welcome surprise. It was so beautiful and amazing to see the caves and rock formations even on a cold December day. The sweet lovely young woman at the ranger station was most helpful and printed directions for us. We would surely recommend this park for... More

Pickett state park offers hiking trails and a step back in time into the 1920s when the CCC constructed the buildings and facilities . There is a small lake that can be be viewed from the shore, one of the canoes, row boats or kayaks available to rent, or from a suspension bridge that crosses it leading to more trails... More

A wonderful, natural setting. The Arches are a must see. Amazing natural sandstone arches carved out millions of years ago.

Wow! What a great park. Nice little welcome station. Only negative was that compared to South Big Fort National Park was the gal in office/information area was not very friendly. There was no offering of information. I picked up some literature and started off exploring without her help. Nice camping area. I personally thought some of the sites small and... More

Our first visit to Pickett State Park was a great experience. There are many hiking trails that accommodate older people like us who have trouble navigating rougher trails. There are also many nice picnic table spots right along the water to enjoy a peaceful lunch. Fall is a beautiful time to visit the park.

We stayed in a Pickett State Park cabin for a recent, extended weekend October anniversary (second time staying here). Pickett is a surprisingly well-equipped, scenic, and comfortable place to be, whether in the spacious campgrounds or cabins. For the location and quality of the rustic accommodations, this is a bargain. The hikes show off some of Cumberland Plateau's best rock... More

I have ridden Pickett State Park since 1996. So many wonderful trails hook you into the Big South Fork National Forrest! Now for the first time this year, we hiked in here. Whether you are on horseback, or hiking with friends there is so much to see and enjoy!! You will not be disappointed in choosing Picket State Park &... More

Fun visit with our dogs to get some energy out of off them. Nice hiking trails once over the swinging bridge. We visited at the wrong time of the day so we didn't stay long because of the heat. Will be back, beautiful rock formations!
