Worth the climb... 2 hours + round trip. Two choices regarding routes to the top.... worth the drive, close for Knox county residents.

We drove up for the afternoon. The roads leading to the parking area were a little creepy. I'm sure the place is fine and it is a beautiful location, but we did not stay long.

This is not an easy hike. It was very enjoyable and the view are fantastic. If you are very out of shape I would not recommend this as your first hike. I also recommend solid shoes and no sandals. Hike when the visibility is good.

This is a cool hike. We ran the sections that we could and walked the steeper/rockier sections. The climbs go up quickly but you are rewarded with beautiful views of the surrounding area in two directions. The trail runs the length of the ridge on...More

Great place for a short afternoon hike but a good workout. Great views from overlooks. Nice place to hike with your pets.

It is a easy drive from Knoxville. The climb up is pretty steep and has maybe six switchbacks. We were hot and sweaty the end. You are rewarded with a view--not spectacular but extremely pleasant. This is a good afternoon adventure for visitors to Knoxville...More

Previous reviews rate this trail as a non technical and rewarding ride to the top. I can only assume those reviews are written by extremely fit people who are used to the terrain. It isn't a leisurely stroll up or down by any stretch of...More

I love the trails at House Mountain. Its not a long hike but if you push yourself it can be an incredible workout. I plan to hike it often in 2017 and lower my time each hike. Some parts of the trail are very technical(rocks...More

Great hike with a distance about 3 miles. Views from top are great. If you like old growth hardwoods this is a nice hike close to knoxville Toilets but no water at parking lot

It has been several years since I've been there but I'll say yes for older kids but maybe not toddlers!

It depends on your skill level and what shape you are in, but maybe 3 hours without stopping too much around the entire loop. That's assuming you choose to go up one path, cross the ridge, and come down the other path. If... More

Yes it does have steep drop offs, it's a very challenging hike, one of the hardest I have hiked.
