We were attracted by the special exhibit courtesy of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson of Spartanburg, SC. It was titled “Southern Painters”. Outstanding ! However, we would not visit again due to the museum’s limited inventory. Only a special exhibit of interest would motivate us to...More

This modern museum does a nice job of presenting different spheres - the modern selection was very interesting as was the local/Eastern Tennessee artists.

A very pleasant museum experience. Free admission, interesting exhibits and a well- stocked gift shop. Many pieces promote thoughtfulness and consideration of a different perspective from your own.

We stopped at Knoxville only for a rest between cities, and since the museum was near the hotel we stopped in on the way out of town. Wow! what great exhibits! We wound up spending a couple of hours. And it's free. Congrats, Knoxville.
