I was impressed with the educational, entertaining self-guided tour. I visited on Wednesday afternoon, October 11th, and devoted a couple of hours to touring the house, kitchen, and outbuildings. The house and kitchen are both the original structures. The blacksmith's shop, guest quarters, and other...More

This is a very detailed homestead of how living used to be before electricity. The handouts are informational and an insight of how life was. Very educational.

We attended a reception adjacent to the James White Fort, offering us the opportunity to view the Fort. The Fort is small, and easily overlooked, but its importance to Knoxville history makes it worth the time to visit.
