We visited these lovely gardens in the summer and what a treat they were. The gardens are set in the grounds of the cookery school and are just beautiful. There is a great cafe in a vintage American style trailer and also a shop selling food, gifts and cookbooks. We spend a few hours walking round the gardens, the kids... More

We visited the garden on a Sunday (as Darina let us in for a peak!) so there wasn't anything open however we got to wander around the beautiful gardens, look at the hens and cows and inspect the herbs and produce they grow here. The place exceeded my expectations and it wasn't even open for visitors, I can only imagine... More

Cruising along one afternoon from Blarney to Ballycotton, we saw by chance a sign for Ballymaloe and immediately recognised it as the cooking school of the famous Darina Allen. An immediate detour was agreed upon, and we had an enjoyable time looking around the kitchen gardens and farm. This is also the site of the Ballymaloe cooking school run by... More

Omg I was blown away with the sculptures in the gardens on view. They were seriously fantastic. So much thought, time and design went into them. Definitely worth a visit. The tea and cakes in the tea rooms were the best I've tasted.

Very nicely laid out. Plenty to see and indeed listen to as very interesting talks on a variety of subjects were held on the hour. Garden walks etc. Plenty to do and see

We spend a lovely saturday afternoon walking around the gardens and had a fresh pizza at the end! As the restaurant was busy, you do have to wait a while for the pizza.

This garden inspires you to go home and put your own plot in order. Lots of ideas are there to be re created. Go and get lost in the maze or admire the lovely herb garden. A delight!

Visited the shop and garden tea room today. Sat at a table waiting to be served. Waited and waited, but no service! Young chap cleared our table. We asked him could he take an order. He said he would when he finished clearing the table. We are still waiting for him! Young lady cleared an adjacent table, still no interest... More

Very wet the day we went there so we confined ourselves to the cafe/shop. The cafe is a the rear of the shop, and does very nice coffee and delicious cakes. The shop itself has a good range of books and kitchenware, and the prices are quite reasonable, so this is a great place to pick up some top quality... More
