Wonderful! You can actually crawl all over this place. With nice weather, the views are beautifu! Best at sunset if you can do it. Not overly crowded either which was nice. Hard to find but worth it if you can get there (justuse Google Maps)!

We must have driven by hundreds of times over the years and finally stopped in. It’s well worth stopping for beautiful views of the midlands and a nice little piece of history

Loved the ruins here. It is up on a hill where you can see beautiful views from every angle. So cool to explore. Great stopping point on the route from Dublin to Limerick!

The Rock is a lovely place to spend an hour or two with the kids and great for photographers with some fabulous lighting when the sun is in the right place.

Historical castle ruins, worth a stop en route between Dublin and Kilkenny. Free audio guides are available for download online to walk you through the site so you know what you're looking at.

Vistas are exceptionally good and the ruins are spacious - accomodating to crowds or quiet days. Easy walk from parking to the hilltop. Be sure to take pictures in all directions.

After driving up a delightful windy road, you stop at an old church. To the left is a sign and an open gate. All you need to do is go through and the walk is easy. This is not a climb at all. But the...More

I had torn my achilles - while in Ireland. I managed to hobble up most of the way. Not to the top - but far enough. An electric scooter would have been awesome to have.
