The ranger, Daniel, is amazing. Very informative. All the Rangers were. They had special events planned all weekend and we were able to go to archery, a nighttime (a must see!) nature hike for the kiddos, and a relaxing canoe ride. We were there for Memorial Day Weekend and had kids ranging from 8 years to 13. Beautiful grounds. Clean.... More

We stayed overnight here in a pop-up camper and the staff were knowledgable and very helpful. The camp sites are shady, clean and easy to park in but there are some steep grades on the park roads. Close to Parsons and the Tennessee River.

My husband and I rode our bike down to this park in the spring and it was beautiful, they have a pretty lake and awesome creek you could deff walk up and down. They also have a nice play area for kids too! Over all good place to visit. I saw a lot of people camping too so it seems... More

As we headed south on HWY 412, our GPS device took us over an interesting, winding, hilly road in the woods to get to the park. There was no sign indicating that this was the way to the park, but we enjoyed the ride and eventually found the park by way of its sign when we came out on a... More

I visited Mousetail Landing State Park and loved their scenic hiking trail. The park ranger was very helpful too!

Mousetail State Park is just down the road from my home. My family and I have spent many happy hours in the park. Which is actually two parks. First section is primitive camping ( water but no electic), picnic area and boat launch on the Tennessee River and back waters. Second section has park office, swimming area, fishing deck, pavilions,... More

So going to this campground takes a lot of nervous. We came upon the campground as we entered. The ranger was kind and friendly. We had a 35 ft rv with a van being pulled. We were nervous of the 5% down grade to enter our campsite. We stayed at site 16 the only pull through. Had water and electric... More

The 3-mile loop behind the Visitor Center was beautiful on Valentine's Day! My Valentine and I hiked the very scenic trail and were treated to good views of the Tennessee River. Also, there were many colorful, interesting rocks along the trail. Best of all was the bright, green moss that covered the trail over much of its length. We took... More

The lake did not look good and it was low. not happy with the visit. It was hardly anyone there . There was not much to do there at all but go for a walk with our dog. The lake was very low and not pretty at all.

We spent the weekend at Mousetail and loved it! We camped in primitive spot #1 and after riding through the rest of the park decided it was the perfect site, prime real estate! We rode the mountain bike trail and loved the view from shelter 2 but the trails are poorly marked and the map brochure from the office is... More
