We all loved our visit here. Informative without waffling on and on. Really interesting stuff, even if wine isn't your thing. The tasting was great and although we didn't eat in the cafe, it looked clean and the food looked good.

We went for afternoon cream tea and tour deal. The cream tea was nice as was the glass of La Mare sparkling wine, but the service was just a bit sullen and unfriendly. Not overly bad but just a smile and pleasant welcome would have...More

A pleasant walk around and well explained processes but rather disappointing wine and not a lot else to see. Some awkward access/ pipes etc for disabled.

A lovely cafe, good service, simple but excellent food. We visited for lunch and a quick look in the shop. The food seems particularly fresh.

Having previously lived in a Spanish village with a co-operative bodega which manufactured pretty good wines , and also near to a cider press in New England, I was interested to see how this vineyard tour would stack up, as both wine and cider making...More

Our visit to the Estate was both interesting and enjoyable. But that was because we took the tour - without that there would have been little to hold us. And although the tour started some 10 minutes later than booked and commenced in a rather...More

We paid the lady at the entrance for our wine tour and tasted La Mare's own Branchage cider even before we got through the door!. We waited in a marquee for our guide to arrive when the heavens opened. We did not get a chance...More

Most definately. Although we did the tour last October, when we visited in April this year we only went to the restaurant and the shop - there is only a charge if you do the tour. Our lunch there was really good and we... More
