Now closed for renovation. A look back in time, how Victor Hugo lived. Was he ecentric? At the top of the House is his Studio. The table was laid for one extra person, the Ghost!!

Make sure you book or turn up early to book a tour as it can get busy and hey only takes limited number on each tour. An incredible house to give an insight into an interesting man.

We parked on the port area and climbed one kilometer on very steep streets to finally find out the House was closed for renovation until 2019 spring. Disappointed and exhausted we took some picture from the front and indeed it would need some serious painting...More

Fascinating place. Victor Hugo lived here and the house is preserved in his honour. The tour guides are really interesting and as well as describing the house they really give a flavour of his life and times. The house is really interestingly decorated, by Hugo,...More

The garden is accessible and very pleasant. The house has rather rickety old stairs. They may let yo look in the dining room on the ground floor.
