Get here early for a space in the car park. Check tide times - watch it recede and reveal the causeway to Burgh Island. Plenty of sand at low tide.

Broad expanse of sandy beach surrounded by picturesque cliffs. Handy toilet. Big car park. Walk across sands to Burgh Island at low tide (transport back at high tide). Very pleasant and relaxing. Take to walk to the island-walking path and great views.

This is a lovely beach with good views, especially of Bigbury Island. The tractor ferry runs regularly to take you to and from the island. Very good parking facilities. Pay and display.

This is a lovely spot with sandy beach. There is also a lifeguard service available. The car does get busy. There is a shower and toilet block. Ideal for surfers!

Yes- out of season. Memory says September through to May. There will be signs. A close beach that is dog friendly all year round is Thurlestone. Check it out. No hotel on an island but a great local beach.
