Superb beach with ample car parking space available. Choice of more upmarket restaurant or beach cafe. Shops as well specialising in surfing gear. Beach is huge and is great to walk across watching the surfers and the dogs enjoying themselves. Highly recommended place to visit.

We love this beach because it's so big. Weather not very good when we visited but our dog loves it! Toilets, cafe and car park plus a shop as well. Everything you need close to a beach.

found the beach quite by accident when driving past to go to Croyde. However Croyde wasn't dog friendly so returned to this beach. Nice cafe on the edge of the sandy beach and rock pools the dogs loved exploring. Well worth the visit

we love this place, its beautiful and dog friendly all year round. Parking has recently changed from a fixed fee of £7 regardless of whether your there an hour or a day to pay per hour which is far better.

We spend a week in Devon and visited this beach with our two dogs. Lots of surfers and dog walkers and plenty of space for all to enjoy it. We got lucky with the weather and the photos are fab!

Dogs are required to be kept on a lead for the first 0.25 mile on the beach - but I only saw a few walkers observing this. The beach is so vast when the tide is out unleashed dogs would be away quickly anyway. Owners are... More

Def not, it's a family beach, there's lots of children's activities, like surfing and Kite flying, think you need to look elsewhere, the only beach I know that does naturalist bathing is Brighton and at Studland Bay... More

Probably as its so large but I'm sorry but I can't say for definitive. There is a line of beach huts just on the beach by the main access and I suppose it may be possible to use these as a base for a bbq. They cost £15 per... More
