Absolutely loved the scenery, it doesn’t get much more idyllic. Options for the hardy (2 hours plus) Walker and less daunting options for the less adventurous. Walking aside the river is very cathartic.

Lovely walks through the woods along the river. The tea rooms are excellent. We had the pork cobbler and beef wellington both of which were superb. Well worth a visit. £2 to park if you're not a NT member, free if you are
There are walks here for everyone.
It's dog friendly and the river offers opportunities for a swim too.
The walks are clearly marked and it's a joy in all seasons.
Just remember wellies or boots as it's muddy in places
