Having to frequently wait 5+ minutes for someone to show up to let you in when you are a hotel resident is unsatisfactory to say the least. By all means invest in state of the art equipment, but guess what? It’s the people who make a difference.

My friends sons booked this treat for their mum and a friend for her birthday. This day was a disaster and is not a proper spa exclusive day. Check in was confusing and messy. Waited ages .lunch limited. Not shown around. Not told hen party in. Couldn't use the swimming pool Jacuzzi full with a hen party and very.noisy and kids swimming Lessons going on. Not peaceful couldn't use the pool either. Anyone can use all.of the facilities i.e. golfers or members. Full and chaotic.no relaxation room or water facilities in the spa area to 're hydrate. This package cost over £200. It is not a separate exclusive spa day. Before you book have a look. We were very disappointed. We did get a full refund and my friend was so upset we didn't have our treatments. Very disappointed. Waste of a day.

As a treat I booked myself in to have an hours massage. I didn't get offered the Spa Day package but asked about it and was given the option. So I thought i'd go for it and really treat myself. Lunch was included along with a glass of Prosecco and tea/coffee on arrival and full use of the spa facilities. Unfortunately I wouldn't say that it was the spa experience I was hoping for. I was greeted with an offer of tea/coffee which would have been lovely if only it wasn't in the back of a huge dingy restaurant type room, on my lonesome! The 'spa' consisted on a very small jacuzzi, a sauna and a swimming pool. These were all used by other members of Woodbury Park, including children, so it didn't feel very special at all. I spent 20 minutes in there and got bored. My treatment, being a full body massage was very nice. I had a lady called Jo who gave me a good consultation to start followed by a nice firm massage. I would however state that she went far too close to the groin area causing me to feel extremely ticklish and at times it was very uncomfortable, almost a little painful. Next came lunch. I was sat in the same huge room with no windows and I was the ONLY guest!!! It was formal and it just felt totally weird and eerily quiet. I felt so uncomfortable and I felt that the staff felt awkward too! I felt the need to text my way through my 2 courses just to give me something to do other than look around and feel like a right lemon! The food was ok but clearly warmed up in a microwave. Everything was wilted and wet rather than crispy and fresh, the sauce on my chocolate pudding had a film on top and the bread I asked for was stale. I would have much rather be put in a lively bar area with a cream tea and some atmosphere! The staff were excellent in all areas and couldn't do enough for me, however, if I was going to come back I would purely have a treatment and then leave. A little disappointed to say the least.

have just had a day trip to the spa at this hotel. very disorganised and no one letting you know what was going to happen. could have done with a front of house lady who looked after us on arrival. never got asked if we would like to up grade to a pamper day with use of towering robes etc, just spent a long time hanging around waiting for treatments to happen and even got asked if we had brought towels with us??? seemed to be a very expensive day of not much happening, not worth a second visit and a waste of money!!!!
