It was a bit expensive at £12, look out for vouchers we found £2 per person off in a Dorset days out leaflet. This time of year is best as very interesting with nests and cygnets all over the place. Feeding time is amazing. Long walk from car park to swannery but you can have a tractor trailer ride, costs an... More

Visited at the right time of year as the baby swans were all hatching out of their shells. Once one starts to hatch they all arrive within 24 hours! Was also there for the feeding of they swans. They must sense when they're going to be fed as they all turn up at once.

We went down with friends a couple of days ago. what a fantastic expierence and the timing was good. Lots of sawns on nests still with eggs and a lot of cygnets. Also there is a tremendous amount of other birds, geese, different types of ducks and more. The young children and some older ones, up to 90 YO are... More

Hopefully you bought a cheap ticket giving you reduced price for this and Sub Tropical Gardens. Large open space and go cart rides for children. May is the ideal month to go with many young birds newly hatched to see. Learn how this has become a natural home for these regal birds.

The swannery completely surpassed our expectations. We visited with our children aged 5 and 3 and we all loved it. The atmosphere is so peaceful and calm. Feeding the swans is a really special experience and its so amazing to see the cygnets along the path. The maze and go karts were also a big hit with the kids. I... More

What a fantastic gem of a place. Only found it by picking up a magazine whilst sitting in the dentist's waiting room ! If you love nature then this is a must-see visit during May and June when the cygnets are hatching. It's designed for both swans and visitors and you can get astonishingly close (brilliant for photographers) provided you... More
