What a lovely asset to have, the facilities and attractions as so numerous it is impossible to list them all so I will list just a few and I suggest you either pay a visit to the Visitor Centre or check out their web-site, the park offers outdoor adventure playgrounds, bicycle hire, fitness gym, water sports centre with a café.... This park has easy walks but beware the walk around the lake is longer than it looks. A really nice walk is one that takes you from Strathclyde to Chatelherault along side the river. There is a to do for the kids and there are even the remains of a Roman bathhouse in the park. Spend as long as you... More

Lots of little parks dotted around for the kids to play in, well maintained, lots of wild birds n geese by the water for the kids to feed. Also lots of picnic benches so no need to spend out on lunch. Not a place for lowered cars as they have had to install lots of speed bumps because the local... More

Lots of bike paths if you know where to look,I can spend all day biking in and around the park, you can buy hot food ,if you want to walk the bus stop is at the start of the park, the only thing that I didn't like was too many dogs on long leds and too many professional dog walkers.

Trying to keep fit and do some walking so Strathclyde Park is a great option to do this. It is 5kms walk which most of it is flat. Enjoy it especially if it's dry weather.

We have just moved to the area and we overlook Strathclyde Country Park. It is very nicely laid out an we look forward to more walks/runs through winter and some more interesting activity once the weather warms up in spring/summer next year. This is a lovely place to wander, feed the birds, enjoy a cup of tea at any time.

I walked all around the loch - about 3.5 miles. Perfect at the end of a day's work. Much of it easily accessible for wheelchairs with car parks dotted all around. Other walks into the woodlands and play areas for children and in the day a cafe. Beautifully maintained - a haven in the city.
