Experience Scotland's Oldest Working Distillery

Recently named Whisky Visitor Attraction of the Year, Scotland's oldest working distillery offers a truly unique and authentic experience to visitors. Set in the heart of Perthshire, the distillery is only an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Making whisky by hand and by heart since 1775, visitors will experience the traditional handmade distilling processes that have been used to craft the whiskies at Glenturret Distillery for generations. Discover how the distillery's Glenturret single malt is carefully blended with other grain and malt whiskies to create the UK's No.1 whisky, The Famous Grouse.

Choose from a range of tour experiences. Sample a selection of fine whiskies in our Tasting Experience, enjoy exclusive entry to our bonded warehouses in the Warehouse Experience and blend your own whisky during an in-depth Blending Experience.

Taste our best in the newly launched Wilde Thyme at Glenturret cafe and restaurant where you will savour mouth-watering dishes created using local, seasonal ingredients including Strathearn Pie, a special dish created in honour of the recent Royal Visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

And be sure to visit our unique and welcoming shop. We stock a full range of superb single malts and blended whiskies including distillery exclusives such as the Bottle Your Own Glenturret single malt which you can bottle straight from the cask.

Whether you are looking for a unique distillery tour, a very special warehouse experience, or even the opportunity to blend your own whisky, Glenturret is the only distillery in Scotland able to offer a truly authentic, traditional whisky making experience.

Visited the famous Grouse experience on the 10th February and had a fantastic time . Lesley Jamieson was our tour guide who was very knowledgeable with her whisky and ingredients and made the entire tour fun with her own quirky Irish sense of humour. At one point Glen and Turret the site cats appeared and decided to chase a bird,... More

Visited Glen Turret today (17/2/17) for the famous grouse experience and loved it! Was great to see the hand crafted ways of whisky making, followed by tastings of two of the whiskies available in the shop. Lesley, our guide for the tour was particularly helpful and knowledgeable about the whisky and the various flavours. Only downside, we spent so long... More

We visited today as it was a bit dreich. We started with a hot toddie before Calum did the introduction at the start of our tour. Calum was enthusiastic and was very knowledgable. Whilst I knew the Famous Grouse I had never heard of Glen Turret which is one of the malts in the Grouse blend. The tour finishes in... More

This is the second time we have brought overseas visitors to the tour at Glenturret distillery. They loved all of it, even just the massive grouse statue in the car park! Make sure if you book online that you state your preference for which tour to join. Our three visitors happened to be the only ones on their tour so... More

Been many times before over the years, earliest visit when I was about 8 yrs old, I am now 50. Did not do the tour this time only went to the shop for some goodies to take home. Very good selection of gifts. Excellent parking.

Staff who gave us the tour was jolly and very detailed. As an active Distellery, we went thru the stages of "brewing". Am unsure where it could be improved but somewhere down I got a little bored. It was okay. The highlight was the "tasting" that happened at the end.

Highly engaging, highly educational distillery visit. The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery is the best one I have been to. The cafe/restaurant is outstanding too, afternoon tea was delicious.

Went along with my dad and his friend. As designated driver I knew I wasn't going to partake in the tastings at the end. Remember the alcohol driving limits are very low. The distillery is easily found and had plenty of parking when we visited. The giant grouse statue in the car park is most folks first photo. Tours are... More
