Overview
More
This is a 5 star visitor attraction and retail complex. Loch Ness is already the most famous lake in the world but our aim is to make it better understood. This is achieved through a fully audio visually guided 35 minute tour. The presentation is theatrical in style and integrates the real tools and archive footage from four decades of research. As part of our educational remit, under 6s go free. The facts are objectively explained and whilst keeping the mystery centre stage, we place it in the context of the loch's very unusual properties. Thus we are endorsed by Scottish Natural Heritage as "A portal to the unique natural phenomenon that is Loch Ness". We offer a huge range of retail onsite and boat cruises on Loch Ness in the summer months. There is also a large cafe and restaurant attached to the site.

This was interesting and gave us more information about Nessie myths. It's a walk through attraction with a short film played in each room. There are then some information boards towards the end of it.

Well this exhibition has been on my bucket list for years and also a trip on the lake itself. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and found the exhibition very interesting, leaving you to wonder whether or not there is a Loch...More

This Centre is very interesting and well thought out. Although not everyone believes in Nessie, there is more to the exhibition than just the myth. There's information on the history, biodiversity and culture of the Loch Ness area and some interesting videos on the Nessie...More

All exhibits, videos and evidence regarding Nessie very well presented and leaves you still wondering about the existence of the mythical beast, does she or doesn't she exist. The whole exhibition is very well presented and thought provoking

The series of information films looked like something a 10 year old cobbled in the 1970s. Exhibits were notable for bad wigs on the mannequins. The gift shop had Nessie soft toys and other kische items. Take the boat ride, visit Urquhart Castle, but give...More

Many thanks Diane for coming to Trip Advisor and leave us a review. I'm not sure how a ten year old could have filmed all our archive footage, some of it underwater? some of the footage might be from the 70's but history is history...More

Needless to say that because this is on the tourist route around Loch Ness it was very busy and we had to queue to get in. I have read some of the more critical reviews and think they were rather unfair - it is well...More

Moving from room to room watching old video footage and listening to the commentary on the mysteries Lock Ness mystery was interesting. Bit over priced.

The exhibition provides a nice history and moves the guest through a series of audio and visual displays. It does provide a nice history, yet it is pretty cheesy versus a high quality museum experience. It provides a good toilet break and stretch of the...More

Yes. The gift shop is in a different building on the left side. The exhibit exits towards that other building.
