Charming little area with traditional buildings (virtually all are B&B's or cafes/eating establishments). Well manicured green - it is even nicer in Spring/Summer when colorful flowers are planted. Backdrop of the surrounding hills (especially in Fall colors) makes for a postcard-like setting. Buses to/from Inverness...More

Alway so tidy and flower beds look great. It's a lovely place to go, the green is in the centre and always looks attractive.

Our accommodation was in a large but comfortable house overlooking the Village Green and for travellers the excellent Fiddlers Restaurant is within walking distance. Ideal setting away from the traffic noise and very pleasant to view.

We visited on two consecutive days and parked at the village green. We had coffee at the deli on the green and enjoyed looking at the lovely floral displays and gardens. This is an ideal stop off point when passing through Drumnadrochit.

Not many villages in Scotland have village greens but this is certainly one to spend an evening or a couple of hours at. There are plenty of shops, pubs and other places to eat and on a fine day it is a lovely place to...More

The reportedly beautiful floral display of Urquhart castle had already been clipped so wasn't able to see it for ourselves. All the shops around the green did have lovely floral displays though. Lovely place just to chill out

This is a lovely little village with plenty of parking, B&B's and eateries around the village green. There is also a great tourist info centre building in the car park.

While staying in Drumnadrochit we often stopped to watch the local busker, who is a young Highland bagpiper. He plays wonderfly, is dressed traditionally, and carries on playing while tourists pose next to him for photographs (something that we didn't do but noticed often). You...More

This village green is exactly what you'd expect from a little Scottish town. They have a gorgeous flower arrangement that is a replica of Castle Urqhuart. The coffee is great and you're liable to run into locals. Great place to just sit and talk.

Not surprisingly, Drumnadrochit has, in the past, won the annual prize on more than one occasion for floral displays in the small village section. It really is beautifully maintained and the Green is central the Village. There is a fine floral model of Urquhart Castle...More
