I’m glad I’m still here to actually write this review, but I should’ve perhaps listened to the folk that said travelling the road in an older motorhome wasn’t for the faint hearted! Yes it may have stunning scenery, it may have amazing views....but we gripped...More

We spent a wonderful week in Gairloch in a rental cottage. We spent days in the rental car exploring the area. Love Hamish McBeth and visited Plockton where it was filmed. Visited Kyle of Lochalsh and Eilean Donan Castle. Brilliant. But will always remember the...More

This is an great road, the views are amazing along the winding road and up and down the other side into Applecross. Although a single track road there were still a few places to stop and take photos, breathtaking

Very good road for car enthusiasts and street racers, also good for motorbike fans. Very twisty roads, roads are fairly narrow, enough space for one car, there are passing points. May need cars with larger engines as very steep inclines. Nice spots to take photos,...More

The courtesy of the majority of drivers on this single track road is terrific, only a few selfish people (usually from South of the Border judging by the number plates) make it difficult, but just slip into the passing places and be courteous and you'll...More

We drove the Bealach na Ba road Nov 10th and it was awesome! The scenery was beautiful and luckily there were very few cars on the road. We highly recommend this drive.

Nothing like as bad as some suggest - unless you're a campervan which should just stay away.... but I could say that for most Highland roads which choke to a halt with them all Summer! Nice views but not spectacular - if you are having...More

Sheildaig is lovely and has a good pub and restaurant. Applecross is lovely too but I think its not a good base, unless you like the hairy drive on a regular basis! We stayed in a lodge in Achintraid, just outside of Kishorn... More
