We visited this small site full of interesting items and information of History in Tain. If my husband was not with me I would have spent All day there. Jason acted as a tour guide and was a mine of information. His enthusiasm shone through...More

We had a great afternoon here. It's a really interesting little museum and Jason, in The Pilgrimage, is incredibly well informed about local history. We had to tear ourselves away after a fascinating chat with him about Pictish history, military history, Scottish history as well...More

Tain is a charming town and the heart of Clan Ross. I went to Tain to play golf (great course!), and spent the rest of the day exploring the town. The Tain Through Time exhibit is well worth the visit. I spent well over an...More

Nice little museum if you are interested in local history and crafts. Suitable for children too. Our guide that day was very professional and dedicated to the subject, so we got a lot more out of our visit than just seeing the exhibition..

A visit to the Tain district and museum is well worth the time in this classic Scottish village. An hour bus ride from Inverness will drop you right down town. Interesting shops and small cafes abound

Our main rason for visiting the museum was the rain! It turned out to be really interesting and not just for the local interest. The collection of Tain silver is beautiful, (but I am a sucker for polished silver) and the stained glass windows in...More

Jason, the guide, made our short visit really interesting as he was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. On arrival we knew nothing about Tain but we left having learnt a lot and with a new found interest in silver.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Covers the whole history of the area and the Ross clan. A mix of video and information boards. The museum Tain exhibit is stunning not to be missed and was included in the ticket price

Worth the entrance fee to spend sometime learning about Tain. Small, compact and informative. A small museum so not a huge amount of time needed staff friendly.
