Thanks for the review, sorry you felt you couldn't go in, the grounds are open all year. Although the main gate may have been closed and locked foot entry is allowed all year via the side gates at any time of the day or night.

Had a walk round the Park used for Braemar Gathering which is the Highland Games held in Braemar before the Queen and her family. People come from all over the world to see these games and get a glimpse of the Queen

Such a lovely Scottish setting and well signposted and marshalled. We arrived 10am and enjoyed watching the various events which are all taking place in one major arena at the same time, it's hard to know where to look. The highland bands were fab, tossing...More

Not great weather in 2016, but hey, it is Scotland and only adds to the atmosphere. Good food, but maybe too franchised out. Nice if there were more local producers. Scottish sports events really fun to watch. To top it all, the Queen, Prince Philip...More

Yes, there are actual seats. The games are held in a natural bowl geographically so don't let photos throw you off. Many people just sit on the hills above the seats in their own lawn chairs, but ticketed seats are much... More
