We (the adults)enjoyed walking through the gardens and seeing the huge variety of trees and plants. The kids (ages 5 and 13) loved playing in the Children's garden.

Wonderful grounds and walking paths. Lots of interesting gardens and shady spots. Lots of fun things to engage kids too! This was such a much needed reprieve and wonderful surprise after visiting Graceland in the morning! Very visitor friendly and well kept.

This was one of the highlights of our visit to Memphis. The grounds are beautiful. We were a group of adults but still enjoyed the "backyard". This would be a great place to take children. There are plenty of beautiful sections for everyone.

This garden has deficient directional and botanical signage. Be sure to pick up the map...which is also deficient. Additional funds should be spent on maintenance of the gardens. Plan your visit for a cool day. Bring a hat and large bottle of water.

There is not a whole lot blooming insofar as trees are concerned, but just walk around the garden and look at the ornamental trees, old oaks, manicured lawns, and flower displays make it worth the trip. Peaceful, serene, beautiful, away from the maddening crowd, it...More

Although well laid out, almost nothing was in bloom. Most botanic gardens are designed to have things blooming throughout the whole place. That was not the case when we were there. Lovely settings, fountains, a bridge or two, nice pathways, benches were plentiful. Better signage...More

Our son loves the kids' area. They have little cottages with different themes for the kids to play, as well as a tree house area with a slide. Unless there is a school group, parking is close to the entrance and easy. This isn't an...More
