Came to the Peabody to watch the eclipse! We were here at 8:30 a.m. and being more rule follower and not rule breakers, we got in the line as the Peabody staff told us. We were cut off by others in the line and when...More

We went in only for the 11:00am duck red carpet walk and it was done well. The hotel is an historic icon and beautifully decorated. We looked at the relics of time past in the enclosed room on mezzanine floor. Make sure to take the...More

My kids love to see the ducks and we all love to walk around the hotel lobby and check out the gift shop. The hotel is so beautiful and it is always a busy place, with several people having cocktails or just chatting while sitting...More

This place is beautiful! I mean just amazing! The carpet, the architecture, the floor, it's all just wonderful. I came here to see the Peabody ducks and ending up staying and checking out the Lansky brothers shop, which you HAVE to see if you come...More

Beautiful turn of the century opulence. Gym is good, lobby is a great place to sit and people watch. Breakfast buffet package is definitely worth it. Need to check out the Brazilian restaurant next door!!

The Peabody is centrally located in downtown Memphis. The lobby is beautiful, including a water fountain where ducks swim during the daytime. The room was a decent size and clean, however, it could do with some updating. The swimming pool is great for a relaxing...More

Some friends and I went to Memphis for Elvis week 2017, stayed Aug. 12-16th. For the price we paid, it could have been better. The rooms are too small. The restaurants are way overpriced. The staff somewhat made up for the some of the disappointments,...More

The grand old hotel of Memphis. If that sense of place or history is what you are looking for this is it. I personally like newer hotels but that is a matter of taste. The ducks are a little gimmicky but kids and families seem...More

Get there early to stake out a seat. Best view from the mezzanine where there are benches. They don't allow standing on the first floor from the seating in the back when the ducks do their thing.

You have to go to Gibson's donuts in Memphis if you get a chance and get the bacon maple donut. It is almost life changing. There is always a line, but it moves quickly. Only one Gibson's, and it is worth visiting.

Yes. Downtown is right out the door of the Peabody and walking is easy to everything, if you can tolerate consistent panhandling.
