We have just spent 3 days in one of the camping pods at this site. We were immediately struck by how peaceful and attractive the grounds were. The advantage of staying in a pod compared to camping was obvious on our first night as we lay snug and dry inside while the rain hammered down outside. The footpaths are all paved, so no traipsing through wet grass to reach the toilet block. The kitchen facilities are fairly limited, with just a fridge, microwave, sink and kettle, but you can hire fire pits or barbeques from the friendly helpful owners, or take your own camping stove to use outside. A wooden camping table would be a useful addition or more work surface in the kitchen. There is just one (clean, hot) shower and two toilets to serve both pods, so there could be queues if both pods were full.
From the site, you can walk on quiet lanes and through the woods to a walled garden nearby or do longer countryside walks into the surrounding hills. A short drive takes you to the coast. We don't fish so I can't comment on that aspect, but we did see and hear fish jumping in the lakes and we saw a kingfisher swooping across the water as well as the owners' ducks (eggs for sale) waddling around.
I wouldn't recommend the site for parents with small children as there is too much open water and too many hidey holes to keep a close eye on them. Otherwise this is a lovely place to stay for anyone wanting a quiet break at a reasonable cost.

just spent two great weeks in a camping pod on the Teglan Fisheries, fantastic holiday, total relaxing, clean, quiet but it was all down to the owners who went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Their warm and friendly manner made you feel right at home. There was not a day that went by that we did not catch and other anglers were friendly and willing to share their experiences and knowledge of the fisherie with us i.e. what bait worked best,so with the owners Dave,Liz & Mark letting us in on some little tips, our holiday turned into the best fishing holiday ever. Not really suited for young children but young adults who are keen on angling will enjoy the experience of this excellent site.We enjoyed it that much we are going again next year.

Firstly, the owners are SO friendly and helpful. They were also very flexible and willingly offered to extend our get out time as they had no following booking. Whilst I will write more below, the upshot of this review is that place is BRILLIANT and well worth a visit by anyone - whether you are looking for a holiday location or fishing and holiday location. I guess with very little children it would be too stressful (too much water around), but the owners are clear about that on any websites they use for booking.

The grounds and lakes are incredible and packed with fish. I am not the greatest fisherman, but these lakes seemed to have great quantity and very decent sizes to catch - the best I have ever seen. One of the owners, David, took time to teach me a few angling tips - very helpful and much needed. They were also very friendly to my kids - 11 and 13 - who both loved the pod and the fishing.

We really appreciated the fire-pit and had two enchanted evenings by a lake with a roaring fire in beautiful grounds all by ourselves. We then had a great day fishing and just enjoying the grounds.

The kitchen was fine and the toilets were clean, with nice little homely touches. We used our own little gas cooker and our own pots etc, but these were all available to hire. The shower was great - hot and clean.

We loved this place and would definitely use it again!!! What a find. We really felt like we had stayed in a private fishery and had exclusive use... All because we did! Thank you.
