Plenty to explore and some fantastic views from the towers. Some of the walls are quite low so it would need strict supervision if you had small children with you! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

The castle is great, it has lots of places to explore as there's hidden corridors within the walls. Plenty of stairs to climb up onto the walls giving amazing views of the coastline once at the top. There is a great cafe onsite too serving amazing big pieces of cake!

didn't visit the castle this time, but it is worth a visit. The recent development has made this an outstanding place to visit, a must for those in the area. Good beach nearbye with good parking. The cafe at the castle was outstanding, with excellent locally roasted coffee and good light bites. Didn't eat a cake, unfortunately but they looked... More

A great place to visit for both couples and families. Great value for money at £6 per adult. Brilliant views across the coast and mountains from the towers and walls within the castle grounds. Although the castle is only small (compared to some others) we had a great time exploring and would recommend to people for an interesting few hours.... More

The new visitor centre had an effective introductory video en par with much bigger and more expensive attractions. We went at 10am on a February half term weekday and had virtually the entire place to ourselves. Lots of fun climbing turrets. There is some information around the site, mainly about the castle's history in general. I would have liked more... More

After seeing Caernarfon castle we didn't think anything was going to beat it. However, Harlech is much more intimate and manageable, especially if you've had a busy day. Parking is just outside and reasonably priced. The cafeteria is simply excellent, and you can enjoy a good homemade cake, local food, or simply a coffee or pot of tea, inside or... More

Winter time very windy especially on the top of the towers! Harlech very sleepy village and on Sundays no shops were open so have a bite to eat at the cafe here at the castle. Plan to spend 1-2 hours here and parking available next to the castle. This castle has a secret passage. See if you can find it.... More
