This championship golf course has many things going for it, especially the magnificent scenery highlighted by the vast range of mountains to the north, and historic Harlech Castle casting its shadow from above.

Royal St Davids is a golf course set amongst the dunes, with a backdrop of Harlech castle and Snowdonia. It is a great course with very friendly members and staff. Just had Sunday lunch there and it was excellent, plenty of choice of meats and fish with vegetables cooked to perfection and lots of lovely home made puddings. A great... More

Great course with stunning views of Snowdonia. This is Championship golf course that will challenge you and leave you wanting to return. Everyone at the Club is friendly , its very family friendly and dogs on the lead can go out on the course unless there is a competition. Excellent food from dawn to dusk with accommodation available at the... More

Royal St David's Golf has changed it's licence and is now open to the public for the purpose of food and drinks. Don't be put off by the 100 yard walk from the car park, the views from the clubhouse alone are worth it. On offer is a range of light meals/lunches or more substantial fare if you should require... Saw the course first from the battlements of Harlech castle and was a little disappointed that the holes were hidden from the sea by the dunes. But we played and we were not disappointed with the course in play. The first nine holes were relatively trouble-free on a calm day, but things became tricky on the back nine when holes... More

Fortunately I played this on a relatively calm day. I'm into links golf and this certainly lived up to its reputation - magnificent. Paid a twilight fee which is tremendous value for such a course. Three hours to get round was a plus too. If you can par the 15th you're either lucky or a very good golfer!!

The course and the Dormy where we stayed overnight were excellent. We were made very welcome by all the staff and the food was excellent and the young lady who served our food, was very friendly and polite and also enjoyed a little banter. Some of the holes were challenging but fair and the greens were true. If there was... More

we were enchanted by this beautiful links course, personel and members are super kind....the rough is it much less!!. It should be played at least twice to better know the ideal shots (and the risks of the others...). Nice, friendly club house, honest food (and not expensive).

Have been coming to Harlech on and off for 40, and absolutely love the place. Exactly what links golf should be. In a few days time they are holding the British Girls championship. And the club have certainly toughened it up, deep rough and narrowed fairways, tough for a 12 handicapper. Was happy with a par on the 15th, which... More

Stayed overnight and played Thursday to Friday. Firstly the stay. 'Dormy' accommodation was satisfactory. Smallish twin room with shared shower room. Clean and functional but not that big for 2 people. Breakfast was very good, when you got it as no one in clubhouse until after 8.00 am. No meals available when arrived at 5.00 pm. Staff friendly. The course.... More
