Have been here on a few occasions usually bird watching with my husband. Have taken grandchildren when they were younger and they liked to paddle (in wellies) in the river

Ideal for a short walk along a river, with good paths and clearly signposted routes. Little cafe at the start/end, which is nice enough. Loads of parking, but gets busy at weekends and school holidays.

Lovely visitor centre and facilities including displays and cafe. Near a river which has footpath alongside so if u have a pet can get wet and muddy. Nice place to go for a stroll. Lots to do too for more adventurous as plenty of walks in the area that are more challenging

Came here for the first time to walk up Moel Famau. The area around seemed lovely for short walks for families, with well maintained paths and good signage. We went a bit further and after a decent walk enjoyed a good cup of coffee from the cafe. Will certainly return if we're back in this part of the world.

Nice place to get something to eat and drink after a full day in the Loggerheads country park. It does get very busy in the summer. The staff are friendly and the food is ok. The children and dogs were made to feel welcome which was nice. Will visit again but maybe just for drinks next time.

Got a groupon for this evening meal. Seemed a great deal from Groupon and Loggerheads. The deal is for starters, main course and 2 small glasses of wine. The starters was extremely good for both of us. Thought this was going to be a really good meal deal. However, the main was poor in that my partners battered Fish was... More

We went here with my 5 year old nephew, dog and extended family and had a lovely time. We played in the river, ate ice cream and walked in the woods - lovely! Finding a parking spot was tricky though as it's so popular!

There are plenty of well-marked paths to follow, of varying difficulty. If you can climb the steps you will be rewarded with wonderful views. But it is just as pleasant to stroll by the river, where children can paddle (under supervision of course!) It is worth walking on to the old mines. On your return the cafe serves excellent meals,... We went mid week to Loggerheads. The car park was quite full, but we eventually found a place to park. The paths are well sign posted and there is a lot to see and take in. It is very relaxing and you can walk at your own pace. There was no litter and there are bins along the routes. Next... More
