Spent about a hour here learning all about the mining of copper at Parys Mountain. The displays were clear and well laid out and you felt you had learned a lot without too much effort - just what you need on a weekend break. Thoroughly...More

We bought a combined ticket to go around the maritime museum too which is next door above the coffee shop. You are issued with a device to listen to various characters stories around the museum with displays on two floors.

Although quite small, this museum tells the story very well of how Amlwch, and Parys Mountain became the centre of the copper mining industry. It's very well laid out, and a good audio guide is provided.

A short walk with medium task rate, this is a beautiful old mine, mostly hand dug with pickaxes so I am told, various trails to follow, a high ground or a low path its optional, the views from the top of the copper mines are...More

Had an absolutely awsome time walking around the old copper mines, we live not far away and was easy to find. Went into Amlwch afterwards, Found the museum in Amlwch a little on the pricy side, £14.50 for 2 adults and 1 children.
