I visited their restaurant with Clwb 41 Llanbedr Pont Steffan / Lampeter 41 Club for our March dinner meeting. We were warmly welcomed in the bar and restaurant and received attentive service from the staff. My three course dinner was delectable accompanied by a glass of smooth Jack Rabbit Merlot wine. I enjoyed a starter of butternut squash soup with chive crème fraiche, rosemary and sea salt focaccia. My main course of roast sirloin of beef, roasted shallots and mushrooms with red wine and thyme gravy and a selection of fresh vegetables was mouth-watering. My final course of sticky toffee pudding and toffee sauce with vanilla ice cream was scrumptious and a fitting end to a delicious dinner. The evening ended with an interesting presentation on health issues by our guest speaker. Diolch yn fawr / thank you all at Cilgwyn Golf Club for a delightful dinner and evening.

played here recently, in misty rain. Course quite well kept, but semi rough is too long and it's difficult to see the ball, even a few inches off the fairway. Interesting holes, some testing, others you can really swing out. Water ditches across the course to really test the timid.Enjoyed the day, even in the rain.
Food was lovely, but after a game of golf it was hardly satisfying. We left feeling hungry.
Would go again, but possibly eat somewhere else.

I enjoyed a wonderful round of golf here while passing through and was lucky enough to have perfect weather on the day. The course is very well maintained and the mountainous backdrop really is something to behold. My game (don’t ask about my score!) was followed by a delicious lunch in the clubhouse - I had the steak and ale pie and a refreshing cider.

But even more impressive than all of the above was the local welcome. The people - staff and patrons alike - are friendly, helpful and ever so laid back. It’s a reception you’d be hard pushed to find at any course around London, where I’m from.

5 stars.

Have visited here a few times now and always had an excellent experience. The staff are always helpful and friendly, food is delicious, really good prices as well. Afternoon tea is amazing, definitely recommend that and a bargain as well. Look forward to more visits in the future.
