Stayed in cabins from April 9-15. They are very old, in need of repair, smell bad and very dirty. We had 2 bedrooms each with a double bed and a small bathroom with no room to hang a towel or put anything on the counter....More

I have had a wonderful extended stay at Shelby Forest State Forest. Have been in the cabins for several days, with Cabin 2 and Cabin 3 being my favorites. The cabins are not fancy but fairly modern and very clean on the inside. Excellent beds....More

This state park is in such disarray, it's sad to see. Not well kept. When we arrived our camping site was already occupied by someone who has been there for quite sometime. We ended up with a site that had a 3 ft drop off...More

Love the park close to home. Good camp spots. Not real close to the lake. Has cabins right on the lake. Take plenty of bug spray in the warm months.

This is a nice park which is easy to get to in the Millington/Memphis area. There are nice hiking trails.

Shelby Forest in beautiful but obviously needed some major attention. The picnic tables were in a state of disrepair and quite frankly, I would not want to eat off them. The lodge looked run down too. The state needs to invest in this natural beauty,...More

Very nice park. So many things to do. Wonderful drive. Very scenic. Can get right up to the shoes of the Mississippi River. Picnic areas throughout.

I would visit the pavilions, and see which you like. One of the pavilions is closed (#3 or #5?) But is a nice shaded area.
