The walk to this beach is around 1.2 km from the main ferry port. There are many shops and stops along the way to eat and shop. There is also a man made pool to swim in along the coast. The beach itself is made...More
A lovely walk here from Manly, look out for the discs on the wall as you go. Nice little shop half way round, worth a rekkie.
Shelly Beach itself is always very busy, popular for snorkelling and swimming. Couple of cafes nearby are just ok.
The tides were too strong at Manly, but we were able to swim here. The beach is s little crushed Shelly, LOL, but doesn’t hurt your feet. They have a shower to rinse off after swimming and wash/changing facilities close by.
We went swimming off Shelly Beach until a bloom of algae prevented us from returning on our last day in Manly. The beach is lovely and popular with swimmers of all abilities because there are no waves. It is not patrolled
Shelly Beach is at the end of a lovely walk to the south end of Manly beach. Stroll along the promenade and enjoy the artifacts in the rocks as you approach Fairy Bower. The beach is pristine and an ideal place to snorkel. Go on...More

The Boathouse cafe is large but wouldn't be able to sit you all at once. I would definitely phone them at Moby Dicks at Whale Beach 02 99745440 and discuss the arrangements with the Boathouse Group management. They don't have phones at Shelley Beach!!!!
There is a kiosk for take away coffees etc but again for a group this big I think you would be best to phone and tell them of your visit so they can have sufficient staff,
Enjoy, it is a great spot!
