More
Lake Mountain is Melbourne's closest and most affordable alpine resort, just a 120 kilometre drive from Melbourne. A year round destination for the entire family which during the winter months offers over 37 kilometres of cross-country ski trails, toboggan slopes and plenty of snow play areas. During spring and summer enjoy exhilarating flying fox rides, laser skirmish, challenging mountain bike trails and enchanting mountain walks. The Resort provides skiers with the opportunity of learning new skills in a relaxed, fun environment. Our ski school provides both the young and the young at heart with professional ski instruction. Enjoy an intimidation free experience! We offer ski clothing and equipment hire on site over the winter months so there is no reason to not enjoy the diverse experiences that the mountain offers. At the end of an active day enjoy majestic mountain views, local seasonal food and hot and cold beverages at the licensed Cafe or Bistro.

We went for a drive up to Lake Mountain expecting something up there. Other than the resort and being in November there is nothing to do if you are not a bush walker. I felt the whole area very eerie as since the 2009 fires...More

A mate and I rode from Marysville up to the summit of Lake Mountain. The scenery was beautiful. The facilities at the summit are basic but include a chalet style eatery and ammenities.

If you are after a snow experience that's especially good for the kids then this is it! We were there in July of 2017 and there had been no snowfall but the artificial snow machine made sure the main toboggan run was running. We enjoyed...More

This is either an intro to snow for kids/adults and/or a cross country skiers dream. This was our forest visit and although a weekend was busy but not super busy. There are two toboggan slopes operating with plenty of people on them. They are possibly...More

We stayed one night in Marysville which enabled us to take our time and have 2 trips up to the snow for play and tobogganing. We hired toboggans in Marysville - $10 each. Although busy we had no problems accessing the facilities and cafe/dining hall...More
