Really enjoy Hanging Rock. It only costs $10 for the car to get out of the car park. We took my 4 year old and 2 year old. It is fascinating for them there is often a Kangaroo there - wild - but very friendly. It's quite a trek and not for the faint hearted but my 4 year old... More

We took the hanging rock summit walk when we went. Going to the summit was not that hard. There were actually a lot of kids going up when we were there👦🏼👧🏽 its just that when you are in the summit you need to find a good spot for the photos and you need to be extra care full because the... More

Can be tricky walking around when you are up top. Extra care if you have small kids. Very fascinating rock formations. Moderate fitness level will be a bonus. The entry fee is $10 per car. Can get busy on the weekends as it is quite popular for families hangout spot.

We hoped that the overcast day would clear but unfortunately if remained gloomy with some rain. Even so, the Reserve has wonderful hiking trails with the rocks to climb for great views of the valley. Extra care was needed going up the slippery, wet rocks but at the top we found it quite worthwhile. The trail map describes different rock... More

Set in lovely surroundings. Easy to get to from the Calder Fwy and well sign posted. $10 per car to access, which I believe to be reasonable for the upkeep. The walk to the summit was easy to moderate with a family. Our 5 year old had not issues and loved it. The Discovery Centre (recommend visiting first) was very... More

It is a place that has a history behind it. Read up on it before going up. It is then that you appreciate it even more. It can be quite confusing while up there, as every corner or path you take seems the same. Take care on the top when you look out. A great view, but be aware that... More

What a backdrop! Stunning open air location with truly stunning views. Getting in took sometime but well organised after that. Stage set up with the rocks glimpsed in the background made for a fab sunset.
