This was a great visit with my mom, daughter and sister. The staff are dressed in period clothing and the past just comes alive in the tours. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, even knowing the exact date that the owner of the house was...More

This house is a little out of the way but a nice place to visit. The house is not your typical regal antebellum house. It is a simple wooden house with a later brick addition. The history of the Overtons is fascinating. There are two...More

This was a wonderful mansion to tour with a period costumed guide. They don't advertise as much as Belle Meade; but, just as important only in an earlier time period. Well maintained, clean, neat, and a beautiful place for a reception or family reunion.

Good stop to learn a lot about history. The exhibit on the family, slaves and war were very well done! Good mixture of reading, artifacts and videos. We would have liked a little more time to explore the house. The tour guide was very knowledgeable...More

Unfortunately, Metro doesn't have any public transportation that comes to the site. Hopefully in the future there will be some close to us.
