I really enjoyed Heritage. It has been well preserved and gives an interesting look into the life of Andrew Jackson. I am a history buff and I really enjoyed it. My wife, conversely, is not, but she still had a great time. It was hot when we were there, bring some water! Good time was had by all.

Visited with my mom on a Saturday. We enjoyed the imagery, artifacts and information in the museum portion but things slipped a bit when we went to tour the house. There was quite a line up and about a 40min wait just to walk through the house. The staff said a few times that they were sorry but they were... More

We toured the hermitage as a family and I was not sure how it was going to be received by my 11 and 15 year old- well they loved it! The self directed audio tour made all the difference. Everyone could go at their own pace- listen to what they wanted at their pace. The guided tour in the house... More

Spend a couple of hours. Great plantation, and grounds. Tour is excellent. Great way to spend day. Very nice facilities. Read a little about Andrew Jackson or Trail of Tears before you go, you'll enjoy it a bit more. Jackson was a colorful character.

The mansion and grounds have been faithfully restored, and era costumed guides are both interesting and entertaining - you almost expect Jackson himself to be seated around the corner!

I was fortunate enough to visit The Hermitage with a friend who was able to help me understand certain things better about this part of history and was able to show them things from a different perspective than theirs. Being able to share this site with a friend was a great experience.
