This was a side trip from our vacation in Nashville and the live music. Great decision. This site has the most original pieces from a presidency than all the older homesteads. Very interesting tour and president. Well worth the time.

This is a MUST see. Amazing that our Presidential election this month is so parallel with the election of Andrew Jackson in the 1800's. If you love history, you will enjoy this place. Plan on spending at least a half day here.

Not really much to see in the house. Grounds are nice. Did learn a lot about him. Not really handicap friendly.

Wonderful place to visit. My 4 kids, ages 6-13, really enjoyed it and learned a lot. The tour of the house was great. They did not do the wagon tour as it cost extra and for 5 people was too expensive.

This is a great tour and very well preserved. The guided house tour of the mansion is my favorite and almost everything in the house is original. The audio tour is great for kids and very educational. It's a definite must visit in Nashville!

Home of Stonewall Jackson. We enjoyed it especially because the furnishings were 97% authentic to the family. Most homes are furnished with "period furniture". Not family owned. Gardens were beautiful. Slave quarters were amazing. We took a horse ride to tour the massive grounds. Just...More

The tour was very very interesting, the more you walk through the past, the more you want to dig into what happened in that mansion. There's so much preservation that you are taken back in time. First there's the actual mansion , then you go...More

Excellent presentation of preservation of American history. The admission fee includes a recorder that allows a self-guided tour of the grounds. The tour of the actual house is a guided tour. Everything is well cared for and groomed. A lot of historical information available to...More

We did both Belle Meade and the Hermitage. If you are a history buff, go with the Hermitage. If you'd just like to see a beautiful estate, go for Belle Meade. Both were fantastic in their own way.
