I went there as a part of a 'Classic Car Run' and the views were breathtaking. I will definitely return and plan to book a cabin there. The scenic cliffs and the river view was awesome.

Worth a look if waterfalls are your thing. Not as impressive as Burgess Falls (About 15 miles from this one.) but still very nice.

The water falls twin falls and great falls were worth seeing. It was breathtaking a.d amazing to hike in woods surrounding the falls. The trails were marked pretty well so were easy to follow and were not too strenuous.

I go there often as I live close by. Has day hiking trails, camp sites for RV and tent, cabins for rent, and lots of river access for boating, canoing, and white water rafting.

Opening the spillway is a seasonal thing and probably non forecastable. Perhaps the park office can better advise. I would think the picnic / swimming area would not be affected. Do bring your own lawn chairs; no seating... More
