We came to TN for a wedding but had extra time for family fun. We decided to go horseback riding. Most of the stables in the area have a 225lb weight limit. My husband is a big guy standing 6'4" and was right at that weight max. Five Oaks has a weight limit of 270 lbs. I made sure to... More

We had an awesome time riding horses at Five Oaks! We did this as a combo package with the zip-lining as well. We happened to be the only two on our horseback tour and we had a great guide named Jessica. She made us feel super comfortable to talk to her. My sunglasses even fell off at one point and... More

Nice and relaxing experience for first time riders. Staff seemed diligent in picking horses based on their assessment of riders. Instructions were very short particularly about basic control of horse though they say don't let them get close to other horses and don't let them eat on the way. We could get some nice view of mountains though it is... More

My neice had a lot of fun riding a horse at this place. Her guide was funny and knowledagable and put my neice at ease with his instructions. They have tons of zip lines as well. We did not do any of the zip lines but there were other families enjoying them and they looked like lots of fun.

We we're so very disappointed in this riding stable. They say they are in the mountains which is very misleading. You go around one hill and you can see the streets and buildings in Town. You go up and right back down. The guide did not do anything but ride ahead so the horses would follow. A big disappointment and... More

Hi Catherine, Thank you for your review! We are surprised and sorry to hear that your experience with us was so disappointing! We can assure you that we take excellent care of our horses. The "dirty and ungroomed" appearance of our horses that you mentioned was likely the shedding of their winter coats that can give the horses a shaggy... More

We called on Saturday to ask about taking a riding trip the following day. The man on the phone assured us they would be taking riders even though tommorrow was Sunday. So the next day we call to book our ride and they suddenly aren't taking anyone!! Now I get to tell my disappointed 8 year old that we aren't... More
