This was truly an amazing, memorable experience. The owners are warm & welcoming with true southern hospitality. I was able choose the horse I wanted to ride, a beautiful black & white American Paint. Hubby was on the lead horse. We got to experience the beautiful mountains by ourselves. We took our time & savored the foliage, gorgeous views and... More

Highly recommended! No guide! No helmet required! Staff were friendly and they do not combine groups. The horses were calm, well behaved and obedient. The horses know the trail well! And the ride was not just for beginners - steep slopes up and down. This is a Christian business and the wonderful scripture signs along the way go with the... More

We are both experienced riders so we wanted an unguided ride, because we thought it would be more fun without a group of people being with us. The staff was super friendly. The ride was about an hour and while we was on the overlook, one of the staff rode a 4wheeler up and offered to take a picture for... More

I had some friends come into town to visit and one of them wanted to go horseback riding. We wanted to try a new place as we had gone riding at another place in the Smoky Mountains last year. We decided to try Next to Heaven and I don't think that I will go anywhere else in the future! We... More

My husband and I were here a few days ago with our 3 kids, the youngest being 7. We had the most incredible time and the staff was super nice and made my children feel very safe. It was their first time riding a horse and they loved it. The fact that we could ride as a family with no... More

I have been riding horses my whole life and have visited many stables in the surrounding areas. Next to Heaven is by far the absolute best place to spend your hard earned money and time. The horse riding trail is through the woods and up the mountain with spectacular views. You are not sent on a ride with 10 other... More

We decided to try out Next to heaven because of all the great reviews. The place is great and the owners are lovely people. The horses are trained very well, our kids are 6 & 7 and they were fine to ride on their own, and no they haven't ridden a lot. What I didn't like was the fact that... More

We choose this because it was an unguided trail. We loved going with just our family to enjoy the horses & the view. My daughter's had never rode before so they were nervous but the horses were great! We enjoyed it & the people were very nice also.
