Fun in the Sun

Love the lake, has several roped off areas for swimmers by the beach. Some of the best fishing for catfish around central Texas.

We hired a canoe for an hour, they supplied us with life jackets and vests for the kids. Friendly staff when you enter the park. There are fees to get into the park - $5 adults, $2 seniors. Kids under 12 are free. The canoes are $5 for an hour! Great price. There's an swing set near the lake and... More

The park fills up during the day with people that just trash the place and use the facilities that the campers should have use of. There was no one there to make them pick up all their trash, turn down their loud Spanish music, to keep them from swimming at the boat launch, to make them follow any of the... More

Suddenly the surrounding parts of it are still coming back but it is a very nice lake I can see a lot of people taking advantage of the fishing and boating.

This park is such a fine place for RVers! Well kept, clean, has some full hookups and plenty of water and electric spots. Beautiful spots on the lake, canoeing, catch and release fishing. All sites have concrete pads and picnic tables. Our new favorite place to escape since the State Park fire.

I traveled to the lake park to see if it was growing after the fires. The tea are looking better and the land is messing. Having alot of ash in the ground will green things up in time. Outwitbetter and should be almost beautiful again in about 5 years. It's a good study right now on land erosion and what... More
