I really like the Bonham State Park. It's full of tall trees and is usually not very busy or crowded as the public Bonham lake. It offers several barbeque pits for barbecuing with picnic tables throughout the tree-filled area with a beautiful scenic view. *Look at this parks pictures on this webpage.* They do charge an entrance fee at the... Decent fishing, very clean, friendly staff. I would recommend this place for a family outing or just going to fish

When your riding and you'd like to ride through the park for a whole 5 minutes it's a travesty to have to pay full price to enter.

This park has a very nice small lake. There are plenty of fish jumping, rental boats, a fishing pier, a small beach area and a boat launch. The water is pretty clean and there is no trash around the shore. The park also has plenty of covered picnic tables, benches and grill pits as well as a volleyball court, swings... More

This park is smaller than most Texas State Parks but it packs in a lot of great stuff. We rented a canoe and paddled around the small lake for a while. They also offer paddle boat rentals. Rates are very reasonable for both. There are lots of frogs and birds to see while paddling. The lake has a pavilion and... More

You can camp,in the oak trees or on the beach. After you set the camp and hit the pier and do some fishing. We love to trap the blue crabs there too. If your in to boating they have a good landing there.

What an awesome park, especially to be so small. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. Lots of trails and great swimming in the lake.

We live close and go often. The park is always clean, and the staff are friendly. We've gone to walk the trails and to fish. They rent paddle boats. They have a sand volleyball court as well. In the spring, they had cooking classes in cast iron Dutch ovens. That was informative (& tasty)! No alcohol allowed on the property... More

This little park is one of our very favorite places to go. It's a very small state park, but it has a lot to offer. There is a small lake, with paddle boat and canoe rentals, and a fishing pier. There is a very large covered pavilion for gatherings or to sit and catch a cool breeze in the shade.... More
