I really enjoy the changing exhibits the museum offers; the one up right now is on the invention of the home computer and has an interactive room with an Atari that you can play on. The permanent exhibits focus on Texas History, going back to...More

A very small museum with a hodgepodge of small mostly static displays. If you have been to ANY other natural science museum you will be disappointed. Go to the George H W Bush Presidential Library instead.

Horse Power, the story of Horse-drawn vehicles" is the featured exhibit through mid-Jan.,2018. I spent about a hour looking at the exhibit and enjoyed it. I was interested in the construction of stage coaches. There is a direct connection between the companies which manufactured horse...More

This museum is small, but well done. It has some great fossils and historical artifacts from the area. In order to see and read everything expect to spend 1-1:30 hours.

Personally, I love small random museums, with exhibits cobbled together from bequests, particularly if there's below average taxidermy. So this ticked my boxes. Not so much my 15 month old son. There were no appropriate places for him to play, so he had to stay...More

Not very many exhibits, but what they had was nice. Would have enjoyed the live animal exhibit more if there were not campers in there, too. They offer a day camp for children, so we felt uncomfortable going in the live animal exhibit area while...More

I love bringing my kids here on Dollar Day. My kids are young, so I don't think it's worth the regular cost to bring them, but for $1 apiece (and the youngest is free!), it's a gold mine! They briefly browse the museum exhibits, but...More

Museum does very good special exhibits. But, the rest of the museum seems crowded, a bit musty, not very well thought out or displayed. Needs a total redo. Not a place to spend a lot of time at or go back to. Very disappointing.

I love the ever-changing exhibits as well as the permanent ones. This is a delightful, little museum chock full of interesting animal and fossil exhibits. The gift shop, outdoor areas, architecture, and staff are so very pleasant and make a visit there really worth the...More
