This is a tour of private lands right next to Palo Duro State Park. It is a nice tour and is great for those that want an idea of what the canyon is like from top to bottom. There are no doors or windows to the suburban you ride and it gets very dusty. We did the 3 hour tour... More

If you ever get to go to Palo Duro Canyon you have stop to see Marie at "Elkins Ranch jeep tours" best trip ever. Our tour guid was Jeff. He was super knowledge, and even more entertaining. The owner "Marie" was super nice, and personable. Truly one of Texas's best hidden gems.

Scheduled this tour last minute and did not have high expectations but was a pleasant surprise. Friendly tour guides and beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend this as a great way to see the canyon especially if you are not a hiker!

The staff was great, I was a little disappointed that we did not get to do the 2 hour tour we booked, and did not have enough cash (as this is all they take) for the 3 hour with us.

Great way to experience the canyon from the very top and the very bottom. Our family hiked to the Lighthouse at Palo Duro Canyon the day before our jeep tour. The Jeep tour was a great way to see another part of the Canyon and to give our legs a rest. Worth the price. They only accept cash or money... More

Highly recommend taking this tour. What wonderful way to see the canyon. We stopped at certain scenic points to take family photos, identify animal tracks and plant life. Unusual rocks are located at the bottom of the canyons called Hoodoos. The kids had a great time naming their version of what each rock looked like.(even the teenagers). It took several... More

If you are looking for a little adventure, we recommend the jeep ride into Palo Duro Canyon from Elkins Ranch. We took the 2 hour ride and got a first hand look into the canyon and enjoyed our guide, Herb's, stories.

My husband and I enjoyed the tour, it was lots of fun. Our guide was very nice and told great stories of the history of Palo Duro Canyon. If you want to fully experience the canyon a jeep tour is a must. The price was within reason. You might want to spray yourself with a bug repellent as the area... More
