I visited Canyon Lake for a few hours to site see. Very picturesque and relaxing. There are plenty of areas for setting camp to enjoy with family and friends. The drive through Hill country is also smooth.

Our first time visiting this park. We found conditions terrible. There were dirty diapers floating in the water, along with pieces of styrofoam floating around and broken glass on the lake bed. People had pulled the park benches into the water and there was little...More

My family and close friends went out to Canyon Lake this past Sunday-Tuesday for a mini-vacation not too far from home. We had a reservation for two cabins. A cabin had two rooms (total of five beds), one bathroom, kitchen/dining area, living room, and patio...More

we had a great time with the family for a day picnic. Water was cold so we couldn't get in but we enjoyed the view anyway.

I love going to the lake and spend the whole day for fun. I sometimes go to the dam part because it's free but still very enjoyable.

I came at the end of the day just to drive through and look. It was well-worth the $7 entry fee per vehicle. The park was very clean and has a large beach area and a panoramic view of the scenery. There were many families...More

We are retired military, but this recreational facility on Jacob's Creek Park is fabulous. Right now, the water is quite high due to all of the rains, but there is a nice roped off area for swimming, and you can rent boats, and all other...More

This is where we have always gone at Canyon Lake. Just beautiful. The water and the sights are kept up nicely. It is the best spot at Canyon hands down.

My wife and I spent the morning visiting this park as we toured Canyon Lake. We were surprised to find there was a charge, especially as we were the only visitors in the parking lot. There were plenty of picnic benches and barbeque stands for...More

Hi there I just moved to the area and wondered if anybody knew any park or area around the lake for my dogs can be off leash and enjoy the lake?

I've seen people have they're dogs off the leash and enjoying the lake. As long as your dog is friendly with other dogs and people, I don't see an issue.
