Always a good park to visit overnight or just a good day with the kids and grandkids. Always think I closer to Austin as we drive in. Entrance fee but very reasonable. Bring your own wood or pay too much.

We camped out on a Thursday night, and stayed just over the bridge from the bathroom/shower building. There were only four other campsites in use so it was quiet and peaceful at night. The swimming was great, with three children ages 12, 11, and 8...More

We are about 37 miles outside cleburne. It wasnt a long drive. It is 5$ per adult in a car! I'm 4 months pregnant and in decent shape. We hiked/walked up the trail to the spill way. My 7 year old son had no problem...More

We drove thru this park to see if our fifth wheel would fit. Very nice park. Well kept and some sites are on the lake. We have a long fifth wheel and ours would fit in a few sites but most sites are very short.

Stayed here for the first time on Memorial Day weekend. It was so quiet, I kept on having to ask my husband if it was indeed a holiday weekend! We lucked out and got a spot in the Poplar point loop about 3 months ago...More

Very quite park and lots of great hiking trails. The big trail around the lake is great. Mowed and lots of up and down hills. The Camp Creek Loop was a little overgrown and with the snakes in Texas it may be jumpy. We camped...More

I went hiking with my son's Cub Scout pack on Saturday morning. It was overcast and cool, so it was perfect. We started with Spillway Trail and continued to Inner Loop Trail. The Spillway itself was interesting with patches of wildflowers blooming along the trail....More

The park is located a little narrow range. And it seems a little narrow for visitors on Saturday and Sunday. The tents were placed next to each other at a very close distance. I did not see a park souvenir shop which is displayed on...More

We camped for one night in site 44 along the waters edge. It was a very relaxing evening. We fished right from our campsite, didn't catch anything tho! Our visit was short so we didn't have time to fully explore the park and can't wait...More

Yes! The one we stayed in was set up for an RV. All the sites on that loop (Poplar point - I think), have 30/50 Amp and sewer hookups! And those sites all have lake views/access.
