Lovely pottery; excellent gifts!

We met the potter himself, who gave us a tour of the studio and kilns. It's a beautiful spot where you can take your own wine and watch the sun set over the hills. I bought... read more

We have come to Hill Country Pottery twice in the last few months. Brian and his wife are very welcoming and friendly. We have bought their pottery twice because it is so beautiful and unique. We love using our bowls because they are functional and beautiful. The view from the shop is stunning. If you like, you can get a... More

We met the potter himself, who gave us a tour of the studio and kilns. It's a beautiful spot where you can take your own wine and watch the sun set over the hills. I bought several brie cheese plates (with a delicious recipe), some unique Christmas ornaments to give as teacher gifts, and a fruit colander to keep fruit... More

This is a quaint little shop with beautiful pieces. The owner was very friendly and gave us a tour and walked us through the process of how the pottery pieces are made. We had no idea the process took so long from start to finish. It made us appreciate the art much more! He offers classes which would be really... More

We stopped in on a Saturday morning and were surprised to be the only visitors. The Potter's wife greeted us promptly, spent time to explain the different pieces and finishes, and found things that were not on display. Sge also helped us to order some custom pieces, despite the fact that it was a relatively small dollar amount. We enjoyed... More

Scenic drive to the pottery shop in Hill Country. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the patio after shopping. I agree with another reviewer....unique and practical pieces. Took home a yarn bowl, a wine bottle holder and a bowl for matcha tea. Check out the sink in the restroom.

Hill Country Pottery may seem off the beaten path (partially true) but a stop that should not be missed. Brian is a top notch Artist in his craft of creatively designing Pottery of all colors for all purposes! The shop has a beautiful display of works and colors. You can even order custom made items that become personalized & rewarding... More

Wonderful, unique and practical pieces to use and/or display. I picked up pieces for myself and for gift giving.

It's somewhat of an adventure finding this place, but it's a scenic drive. The day we visited the potter was not there, only a young girl attending a cash register in the display area. We'd hoped to see someone in the studio. The pottery is lovely and well-made ...... several beautiful colors and interesting pieces. We'd recommend this if you're... More

If you are heading out into the hill country for a day trip to hit the wineries, Luckenbach, and will be near Boerne, Comfort, Sisterdale, etc hill country pottery is a great place to stop. It's situated along Fm 473, between Comfort and Sisterdale-one of my favorite hill country drives. Their gallery has all sorts of original pieces for practical... More

My husband & I were driving to an estate sale out of Comfort and saw the sign for Hill Country Pottery. We turned around and was so surprised at the artistry of Bryan's pottery. Colors that one doesn't see often in this type of pottery as well as so many different type of items to choose from. I told my... More
