December marked my second visit to this new museum. I went with a couple of friends and my Mom. We went late morning on a weekday so it was not too crowded. The first comment I have is that this is a wonderful museum filleed with so many great exhibits that it will take several visits to see it all.... More

What a remarkable experience! We took a group of teenagers and the guided tour with Mr. Lindsey was very informative . I especially appreciate the historical references to the African Americans in the dallas Fort Worth area . Sometimes are definitely left out of our history books but are stories that are worth hearing. I would highly recommend paying for... More

We were able to get in the second day of opening. It was great!!!! The first floor is newer stars/singers/athletes mixes in with showings of garments/ etc. It gets better as you go to different floors. Highly recommend

Every October. Was surprised how few African Americans know it exists. Each year is a surprise related to what condition we will find kitchen in. Will it be clean? Would you want to eat what is cooked in here. Working staff is iffy, year to year you wonder how or what condition location will be in.

This museum has beautiful artwork. Staff was friendly and gave us a brief summary of what we would see. Not crowded at all so we could take our time. It's also free admission, but they take donations.

...is a museum that all people should take a gander at. While I would more classify this as an African American Historical Art museum, this did not devalue the experience. The pieces were remarkable. The artwork and photographs were beautiful. I would argue that the full historical aspect of the museum still needs some improvement, especially considering the role Black... More

This museum was by far the best and price was great (FREE). I was surprised that there wasn't a lot more people there. The displays of art was awesome and it opened the door for conversation about slavery, civil rights etc. Loved the display of positive women. I took my daughter to this museum and we were on a girls... More
