We stopped by here on a 'pay whatever you choose' Tuesday which is a nice way to allow more people the opportunity for frequent visits. All the staff members were welcoming and helpful, giving us suggestions as we talked with them. After checking out the insects and reptiles in the lobby, we went to the Butterfly House. It was awesome!... More

We went at spring break to see the butterflies. Lovely staff made us welcome and explained how best to see the exhibit. We found the butterflies are more active around midday and enjoyed the release of newly hatched species. The garden was a bit sparse, being March, but shows promise for later in the year. Quiet spot for our visit,... More

The place was peaceful and felt like we are in a jungle. There were many varieties of butterflies and we got a chance to look at new butterflies which came from South Africa. The people who work over there were friendly and knowledgeable. Every one should visit this place and learn about butterflies.

Last weekend we attended a wedding at the Gardens. There is plenty of dedicated parking space located very close by. Those who attended enjoyed drinks and appetizers in the foyer, and was able to get a close and personal look at the bugs and the butterfly garden upstairs. Children who attended the wedding had a great place to enjoy and... More

We have been the fair grounds so many times, but every time we go we end up at the science museum or aquarium or the fair itself. This time my daughter and I wondered into the Texas Discovery Gardens because we were at the fair and didn't really have much of an agenda. We were greeted warmly paid the $4... More

This is the best camp that my son attended this summer. The staff are knowledgeable, engaging and helpful. There was a campers program on the last day as well as an awards ceremony. My son was excited to go every day!

I like the butterfly room and the gardens. The gardens are beautiful, I have been to a few weddings on the gardens and they looked fabulous! This place is good for events, kids, and dates.

Lovely setting. So peaceful and quiet. Watch the 20 species of butterflies flutter around. There are guides to walk you through. Humid but that is expected! A well kept building. Snake house in the back through gardens.

Not interested in going to see the exhibits. Texas Discovery Gardens doesn't seem to be of the same caliber of other Dallas museums.
