The first trail we did was fine but the other 2 trails the mud was cakey. It didn't look like it would be bad but once you kept walking mud would just accumulate on your shoes. I'm not even sure hiking boots would have helped....More

Came up here for a day trip from dallas. We wanted to hike, and we were pleasantly surprised. There are lots of trails. Our favorite was between markers 3 and 4. Only downside was $5/person to get in park. Other than that, we'd recommend coming...More

Very clean, well supervised and lots of camping spaces in the shade. Handy marina, good variety in the shop. Personnel are helpful and friendly. Mesmerizing bird population as well as a wide variety of trees.

So far this is the best park we have found in/near/around the Dallas Fort Worth area. It takes you all the way up to the state line of Oklahoma. There are beautiful views up at the lovers Bluff & has very nice walking trails. Restrooms...More

Stayed here and loved the quiet of the park along with all of the wildlife; deer, roadrunners, birds! It was quiet park with plenty of space to walk around in or ride your bicycle in. Fishing and boating is also available.

Went with family with little children. Dinosaur Valley State Park seems better more enjoyable with kids. There is a nice spot for rock climbing maybe teenagers will like.

I felt $10/ 5 per person for day use was a bit steep. The beach access is steep as others have mentioned . The trail was lovely with spring flowers. Views and lake access were disappointing. This is definitely a boating park.

Park staff are very nice. Stayed in a shelter. Only a few have room for 1 or 2 tents. (1, 34, 35, 33, 32, 18, 27) stayed in shelter 34. Shelter was nice for food prep and storing. Great hiking trail. A lot of fossils....More
